"Throughout her time at OP, Ms. Benson quickly became more than a teacher to our students and school community. Ms. Benson stepped into the role of our temporary Art teacher and immediately stepped up to be an integral part of our elective department and PLC. Ms. Benson helped to contribute lessons and curriculum that created opportunities for our students to access knowledge and learning. As a faculty staff member she also involved herself in many different roles within our learning community which made her an asset to our school. Ms. Benson’s ability to adjust from a distance learning Canvas platform to our in-person hybrid model seamlessly, always providing students the support and interventions they needed. As an Art Teacher, Ms. Benson has increased her knowledge and experience by participating in district professional growth, and attending many educational training sessions to strengthen her curriculum and knowledge of educational pedagogy. Ms. Benson, will be a great candidate as an Art teacher as she moves forward and continues to grow as an educator."
